The Long Arm of Larchmont Yacht Club

Danielle Ames did not race IODs when she was growing up in Larchmont. She spent a few years in Boston before she discovered the fleet in Marblehead. But since that time, Danni has become a mainstay of the International One-Design fleet. A regular sight at regattas in Bermuda, Nantucket and wherever the World Championships are being held, Ames is Secretary of the World Class Association. If all of that were not enough, she took on the daunting task of organizing this year's World Championships in San Francisco where she lives now.
