LYC’ers at 2008 Key West Race Week

January 21-25, 2008
Key West, FL

This year’s annual Acura Key West Race Week was among the strangest and most challenging in the 21-year history of the regatta thanks to two unscheduled lay days (too much wind on Monday and not enough wind on Wednesday)

Still, with over 260 boats and over 2,000 sailors competing, including entrants from 18 nations, numerous Americas Cup sailors, World Champions and Olympic veterans, the event held its reputation as the premiere winter competition for big boat racing. LYC had several of its members competing at this year’s KWRW as in past years and here is a brief run down on who made the journey to the Southern most point of the continental U.S.

Race Committee and Judges from LYC:

Arthur 'Tuna" Wullschleger, past Commodore of LYC, Nick Langone, Bill and Pat Baxter, and Mary Savage
