Team Racers Continue Successful Summer

August 9-10

Larchmont Yacht Club was well represented at the New York YC Vanguard 15 Team Race August 9-10, with Team Larchmont YC finishing second overall, losing only two races to regatta winner and current world champions Silver Panda. In third place of the 18 teams was Larchmont YC’s Tall Boyz.

Team Larchmont YC at the New York YC Team Race was composed of Danny Pletsch, Cardwell Potts, John and Molly Baxter, Julia Southworth and Adrienne Patterson. Tall Boyz is Sean and Susan Doyle, summer sailing member Clay Johnson, Kyle Kovacs, Kristen Lynch and Elyse Dolbec.

"Team Larchmont YC"

Both Team Larchmont YC and Tall Boyz will be competing at the 2008 Hinman Trophy (US Sailing Team Race National Championship) August 15-17 at Erie YC in Erie, Pennsylvania. To follow the action from the Hinman, go to the Hinman Event Site.

Earlier this summer, Team Larchmont YC won the Larchmont YC Vanguard 15 Team Race on July 26-27, with Tall Boyz finishing second. Tall Boyz also won the MidSumma Team Race Championship at Wianno YC July 12-13
